The quality of leisure has an important impact on the development for human beings and society, by making full use of leisure time to improve the quality of life, it become an important issue related to the meaning and quality of life. Leisure sport is that people own discretionary time, in that time people would have fun doing sport activities.The casual sport is the important part of sport, guide and promote the development of casual sport help to promote the physical and mental health of the people.Chengdu has the tradition of leisure since ancient times, and Chengdu is also famous as a leisure city in China. It is the city which first carries out farmhouse tourism, which people fist charter a plane to travel abroad, and the people who live in Chengdu also has enthusiasm in leisure sport activities. white-collar workers is the mainstay of the socio-economic, and they took on too much more social responsibility and pressure, and do a good job in the role of work and family, so their leisure activities is relatively less.With the methods of documentary information, questionnaire and mathematical statistics, the article investigates the current status of the leisure and sport activities of the white-collar workers in Chengdu area in recent years and got information about this part of the population. Found that favorite and the highest participation rate leisure sport activities is the walk, followed is the ball games,and more than three percent of those people cost less than 100 Yuan on the average in leisure and sport activities every month, mostly for the clothing, equipment and other items. They like playing in the parks, community activities and the open space near. With the economic development and the changing of people’s awareness, the mental and physical pleasure, entertainment, social interaction has become the main purpose of the people’s participation in leisure sport activities. By analyzing these data, the paper summed up the seven characteristics: both rich and poor could leisure and even together; more static recreation and passive leisure activities; less leisure time and less sport population; favorite leisure sport but not often involved; generally low consumption capacity; choice of activities related to age; eager green sport.Alpha The analysis of the above characteristics, the paper gave some suggestions on improve urban traffic, increasing the green parks in the main city, to increase of leisure sport propaganda, work schedule optimization, attention to leisure sport education, and taking the initiative to accept the modern leisure awareness, change poor leisure.
