Vocabulary teaching is the emphasis of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, with the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the research of vocabulary teaching is paid more and more attention. The career of Chinese teaching in Thailand has developed quickly, the work of Chinese teaching also get a lot of attention. "the theory of multiple intelligences" that suggested in 1983 has provide a new angle of view for the education, it is also supplied a new idea and method for teaching Chinese as a foreign language. if Chinese teacher survey and combine with the characteristics intelligence of Thai students, providing guidance services to Chinese vocabulary teaching, optimizing teaching design, it will has inspiration and reference significance for stimulating the students’ interest of learning Chinese, improving the quality of vocabulary teaching as well as the level of learners’ vocabulary learning.This study used the experience of teaching Chinese when author worked in Srinagarindra The Princess Mother School Sisaket, Thailand. At the foundation of investigating and analyzing to the characteristics of multiple intelligences of elementary Chinese learners in Thailand, the key research is elementary Chinese vocabulary teaching which guided by the theory of multiple intelligences, at the same time, combing with the characteristics of the intelligent learners to vocabulary teaching design diversification, and to investigate the effect of vocabulary learning and analysis. This study found that teachers design diversity of vocabulary teaching and put into practice, according to the intelligent features of learners, it’s helpful to improve the learners’ interest in learning and Chinese language proficiency. However, it remains to be clarified that whether or not Chinese vocabulary teaching which is guided by the theory of multiple intelligences can raise the level of learners’ vocabulary learning to maximize. I hope to offer a little useful reference about improving the quality of Chinese vocabulary teaching in Thailand.Besides introduction and conclusion, this article has three chapters, the specific content summarized as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the investigation results of middle school students in Thailand. The survey found that the advantage intelligence of Thai students is naturalist intelligence and musical-rhythmic intelligence, the scores of bodily-kinesthetic intelligence which is weak intelligence are relatively low. Analysis through the test results of learners’ vocabulary which is from experimental class and contrast class, it found that it is helpful to improve the level of learners’ vocabulary according to the characteristics of the learners’ intelligence in vocabulary teaching, which is guided by the theory of multiple intelligences.According to the characteristics from learners of different intelligence, the second chapter give specific vocabulary teaching reference for the vocabulary teaching design. it is guided by the theory of multiple intelligences and given in turn from three stages which is the vocabulary teaching preparation, teaching implement, teaching consolidate. Vocabulary teaching preparation from two aspects to introduce, they are vocabulary teaching analysis and teaching design. Vocabulary teaching is the key point of this section, which, in turn, from three aspects to state, they are diversified exhibition, words explaining and vocabulary practicing. Consolidate vocabulary teaching mainly from two aspects to introduce which are diversity vocabulary review and test.The third chapter mainly from three aspects to carry out in this paper. The first is the explanation of vocabulary teaching design. The second is specific teaching design.The third one is evaluation and reflection of teaching design. The focus of this chapter is specific application design of the vocabulary teaching, which is based on the first two chapters. Vocabulary teaching design mainly from eight aspects to elaborate. The assessment of teaching design mainly under the guidance of the theory of multiple intelligences, and from the angle of arouse learners’ eight kinds of intelligence to evaluate the teaching design.
