This research came from my real teaching experience in a middleschool in the west of China, where the economy and education conditions arecomparatively backward. I found that students didn’t do well in the final exam, so Idecided to use new instructional strategies and design new instructional activities.And after one term, students in the two classes I taught all did better in the final exam.This research is action research in instructional practice. I mainly used literatureresearch method, experimental method and questionnaire survey method andintegrated Multi-Intelligence theory in every instructional process. I designed newinstructional objectives and activities and verified if the new instructional strategywas effective from the perspective of multi-evaluation.The significance of this research is to break through the teaching mode intraditional English class and design instructional plan that suits Middle SchoolEnglish class in the west remote area of China more using MI theory and InstructionalDesign theory. Also it puts forward the importance and necessity of teachers’professional development to the improvement of education quality.
