Rope skipping, which originated in China with thousands of years of history, is a traditional folkloric national entertainment project in our country. Figure rope skipping is an innovative sports project with the fusion of modern elements such as dance and gymnastics. In order to carry out the sunlight sports and improve the students’ physical health level, the rope skipping is gradually stepped into the campus and popular with students with its unique charm. However, the situation of figure rope skipping movement is not optimistic in primary and secondary school. Therefore, in order to find out the current problems and influence factors of carrying out the figure rope skipping of primary school in the city, the author investigates the situation of figure rope skipping sports of elementary school in Huaibei. Hereby people can put forward effective measures to cope with the situation and it has a certain theoretical basis and practical significance for our elementary school to carry out figure rope skipping movement.In this paper, the author chooses present situation of figure rope skipping movement in Huaibei elementary school as the main content, including 48 primary school leaders and teachers,512students in 8 schools as investigation objects. By mainly using the literature material law, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method and system analysis method, the author finds:(1) The situation of figure rope skipping classes in Huaibei is not optimistic. (2) It lacks of teaching material and the teaching content is single and arbitrary. (3) Teaching forms, teaching means and teaching effect are not significant, but teachers pay attention to cultivate the students’ ability of team cooperation and enhance their physical quality. (4) With the lack of professional rope skipping teacher, teacher has few chances to participate in training and school leaders’support should be improved. (5) It lacks of organization and management system. (6) Students’ awareness of figure rope skipping is limited and even some students don’t have a contact with it.Through the investigation and analysis, the author thinks that there are some factors that affect the rope skipping:little support of school leaders, the influence of the exam-oriented education, the lack of teaching material, single teaching content and method, the lack of professional teachers or coaches, imperfection of school sports organization and management system, the small capital investigation, little propaganda of school sports, etc.According to the analysis of the development situation and the influence factors of figure rope skipping in Huaibei, the author puts forward the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures, mainly including:1. Coordinate the system of quality-oriented education and exam-oriented education. Schools should update their ideas on education concept and focus on students’all-round development of body and mind. They need to conform the new couple who meet the new era of social development and the characteristics of the students’physical and mental development.2. Develop school-based curriculum. School should formulate school-based teaching material in accordance with school situation. In view of characteristic and regulations of the rope skipping movement, summarize the theories and techniques of timing counting skipping, figure skipping and mixture skipping. Set up the specific teaching goal class arrangement in all grades and levels in accordance with the school textbooks and routine study.3. Build a special rope culture by combining figure rope skipping with various subjects. Combined with other subjects, forming a variety of interdisciplinary integration of cultural situation to make it a characteristic project in the school.4. Create a variety of teaching methods and improve teaching efficiency. Teachers flexibly use and create a variety of teaching methods, such as cooperative learning, inquiry learning, motivation method and so on. Exercise the students’ ability to innovate and improve students’ learning interest and strengthen students’ learning confidence, so as to achieve the purpose of improving teaching efficiency.5. Construct the dedicated faculty and cultivate the learning ability of teachers. As a line of sports education practitioners, physical education teachers should have a rope culture spirit. They should strive to improve their professional skills, and constantly update knowledge, and actively research and develop suitable contents, methods and means of figure rope skipping for different ages students.6. Integrate and improve the management system. Set up leading groups which are directly responsible for sports work by the president or vice president and physical education teachers are in charge of specific arrangement and the implementation. Clarify the responsibilities of each position and put them into effects.7. Establish and fulfill local rope skipping organization and improve the social and cultural environment for the development of rope skipping. In order to popularize the sports, the authority need to establish local skipping organization or the league and club to promote its better development, so as to improve the social cultural environment figure rope skipping in Huaibei.8. Inherit and innovate our national excellent culture. Our country should strengthen the protection and inheritance of national traditional sports cultural from the next generation of the motherland. They should strengthen the national consciousness, so that the excellent national traditional sports culture in our country can be inherited. At the same time, they can also join the fashion elements or creating some rope exercise with the fusion of street dance, gymnastics and so on, making it more innovative and more attractive to all the people.
