A Comparative Study On Competitive Strength Of Chinese, American And Russian Winter

As we all know, each country can show national economic, technological level and the quality of their people face through the organization of large scale, high level Olympics. Therefore, whether in summer or winter Olympic Games are an opportunity and challenge for countries. Walking the competitive sports road with Chinese characteristics and turning China into a sports power is the new generations of Chinese sports people desire and goal. In order to strengthen the importance of the regional Chinese winter sports and promote their long-term development, the state made a lot of efforts. In the 10th National Games, winter sports will be included in the game by the State Sports General Administration.in the 11th National Games It was the addition of four winter sports, to achieve the "winter balance" and "ice balance." "Olympic Glorious Program" formulated by the state mentioned the need to "improve the development of China’s winter sports" as the goal several times, apparently Winter Games is indispensable part of the Sports Development.Therefore, this paper takes the Winter Olympics as an entry point comparing the United States, Russia and China at the Olympic Winter 19-22 to identify the gap between China and the United States and Russia and to analyze the factors that affect Competitive Strength in order to put forward suggestions and measures for the development of winter sports, enhance the competitive strength and promote the development of Winter Olympics.Development of the competitive strengths of each country is dynamic, not only affected by their own performance, but also by other countries. With economic development, each country pay more attention to winter sports gradually. Although in nearly 10 years Chinese Winter Olympics has made some progress, but there are still many problems to carry out the project in the winter, in the Sochi Winter Olympics just ended, the United States and Russia’s Competitive Strength are unstoppable. Thus, in this study, we use literature, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis Barreto and other research methods, according to the distribution of medals by China, the United States, Russia, Olympic achievements, entries, the number of entries, winning ratio, the advantages and the potential advantages of distributed projects in 19-22 Olympic Winter Games, to conduct in-depth comparison; Secondly, we should analysis the cause of the gap of China and the United States, Russia winter Olympics Competitive strength and recognize our own deficiencies; finally, for the lack of winter sports development, we make relevant proposals and measures. Thereby providing a theoretical basis for the next Winter Olympic Games and the 24th Olympic Winter Games bid application. The conclusion is as follow:(1) In near-fourth Olympic Winter Games, the United States has maintained the advantage of the first group. Russia results from the decline to rise, showing their potential. As to China, the number of gold medals and the total is stable relative to the United States and Russia, still in the second group. To achieve a breakthrough, the connotation of the nationwide system of practice and change concepts, we should attach great importance to the efficient allocation of resources in the country’s competitive sports, take advantage of competitive sports market absorb all kinds of organizations to participate in the sports in society, constitute government social and market joint management pattern of the Trinity, accelerate winter and summer sports balanced development.(2) China,United States and Russia made progress gradually in the number of entries, winning ratio on the recent fourth entries in the Winter Olympics. Winter Games are paid more attention gradually.US and Russia carry out the project widely, more covers.(3) In recent sessions of the Winter Olympics, China, United States, Russia presented the uneven development of the potential advantages of the project. By contrast, China presents single project structure and small development of space. For this trend, China should set up a diversified fund-raising ways to improve the overall management capabilities. In a market-oriented economic system, working with professional sports counterparts,we should develop winter sports new "Medal growth", focus on the advantages of development projects and expand the space for development of the potential advantages of the project.(4) The competitive strengths of China,United States and Russia’s Winter Olympics is affected by its geographical, ethnic differences of natural factors, the type of competitive sports management system, back-up personnel training system, the social security system athlete and sports scientific research. Our Competitive Sports Management System should learn from the United States and Russia’s advantages in conjunction with our national conditions and system. We should rely on society to do sports, not just government; use the legal provisions to protect the interests of the athletes; continue to deepen the reform of scientific research methods vigorously invest, absorb large amounts of winter project funds continue to go out and communicate with the outside world, cooperation, introduce high-level foreign coach, learn different training philosophy, and enhance the comprehensive athletic training level athletes.(5) Locating to increase the strength of China’s Winter Games, to expand the population of the winter sports, improve winter sports athletics sports management system, improve the winter sports training system, strengthen the athlete social security system, to increase innovation and research efforts as four basic sports point, go to the government-led, social enterprises to actively participate in the course, the comprehensive development of Chinese winter sports career.
