Research On Social Work Intervening In Private Disability Service Organization

At present, there are more than 83 million disable people in China already, involving 260 million families. With the development of social economy, the disabled people receives a wide range of attention as a disadvantaged group. A lot of supporting policies about disabled people have been carried out. The service modes of the disabled people are various, and the public’s view on the disabled people are changing positively. All of these changes embody that people of all circles have a deeper thought and practice on the disabled people. In addition to the support and help from the government, the private disability service organizations are also playing a positive role in solving the problems and providing helps for the disabled people. In recent years, some private disability service organizations are starting to absorbing professional social workers to participate in daily services, which provides a wide stage for the practice of the social work. And it also indicates that social work, as a scientific and helpful profession, is enlarging its realm and promoting its influence.However, compared with the practical demand of the private disability service organization and the efficiency of the social work should have, the social work getting invovled in the private diability service organization is till in the beginning period. And there are lots of theoratical and practical problems needed to work on. And this paper, taking the R disabled care center in Xi’an as a case study, is going to find out the existing problems and distinguish the roles and resposibilities among the social workers, the private disability service organization, government, public opinions, universities, marketing and communities by combining theory with practice, unifying history and logic, and linking field survey with literature retrieval ways. After these works have been done, the paper is going to discuss the strategies and ways on how social work getting involved in private disability service organization and try to come up with preventive measures for those problems which are easy to appear when social work gets involved in private diability service organization. And finally the paper is going to help private disability service organization do a better job in social works and promote the professional standardized and scientific level of its service, making positive contributions to the development of the disability care service.
