The deepening of the new round curriculum reform, puts forward new requirements for colleges and universities sports curriculum teaching reform, adjust measures to local conditions to develop curriculum resources become an important way of curriculum reform. In recent years, the college will constantly martial arts the traditional project into the sports teaching outline, injected fresh blood to the reform of physical education, but also ushered in the challenge. Martial arts teaching content is difficult and boring teaching process by emerging, to a certain extent restrict the development of martial teaching. Training as a new type of teaching content has also entered the part of the university sports teaching outline, the teaching effect is more pay attention to emotional change, challenge them, beyond the self is to expand the teaching idea of training, five areas based on university sports teaching goal as the starting point. Effectively combines martial arts and develops the content of training, study the teaching effect and the traditional martial arts teaching effect, to martial arts teaching and traditional teaching mode reform basis for other project.Based on consulting a large number of literature and the authors experience training, on the basis of vocational and technical college in xi ’an 80 martial arts option class students as the research object, using literature, logic analysis, questionnaire, mathematical statistics method, the teaching experiment research methods such as combination of martial arts teaching and training of effect did the theory analysis and experiment teaching, the result analysis are as follows:1. expanding type of martial arts teaching mode is the traditional martial arts teaching mode has no significant effects on students’ physical differences.2. expand the martial arts teaching to improve students’ interest in sport has significant effect, reduce negative effect is mainly reflected in their PE study and enthusiasm to improve, so as to improve the participation of the students’ physical education learning.3. expand the martial arts teaching compared with traditional martial arts teaching model can effectively improve the performance level class, this effect is mainly manifested in the pass and medium level of these two grades of volatility, expand teaching compared with traditional teaching can effectively promote are to pass the period of students to the medium level of development, other horizontal section of the proportion of students has not been a significant change.4. through test and analysis of the nine SCL90 factors, the results showed that in experimental group than the control group after three factor in interpersonal relationship, depression and hostility aspects into a significant difference on the experimental data, the other factor has changed little, expand the martial arts teaching can effectively improve the college students’ mental health index, strengthen the team cooperation consciousness, enhance the social adaptation ability.
