Rural pre-s chool educa tion is the weak link in pr e-school sys tem of Chi na. The principal of kindergarten is one of the most essential developing l eader ship groups,a nd the qual ity a nd level of this group det ermine the quality of ki ndergarten education a nd t he impl ementation of t he policy guidelines. What is more, the decisi on-making of pr inci pal plays an instructive and determining role in the development of kindergarten. I n the background of social transfor mat ion, education revolution and pre-sc hool education fl our ishing, the sur rounding cultural environment of kindergarten educa tion has been conducting continuous alternation and c hange. How to combine the kindergart en cultural developing wi th the trends of t he time s as well as the local culture has becomi ng the challenge and confusion of kindergarten educa tion in rural ethnic a reas.The study is run in the method of educationa l narrative resea r ch. The research de scripts the story of gr owi ng principal i n the changing c ultural environment and the kindergarten development by elaborating the i ndividual and ki ndergarten stori es. The c ases and experi ence of the pri ncipal are include d.This paper is divided into seven chapt ers. The firs t chapter i s an int roduction e xploring the pur pose and significance of t his study on the basis of the analysis of the c urrent research a t home and abroad. I n this chapter, conce pts related are defined to de termi ne the ideas and met hods of the study. The second chapter, " Fa cing the Q Kinde rgarten at Linxiang District" describes the current development problems of Linxiang Distri c and condi tions withi n the cooper ate ki ndergarten. The background sit uati ons and cultural environment of workplace i s e labora ted. Chapter 3, "Acquaintance the national cul tural c harm: " landlord room "i n turning", and Chapter4, "recognition of national cultural values: Nanting River comprehend," as we ll as Chapter 5, "Penetration of national cultural connotation: the crea tion of spe cial c hildhood education" are descripted in t he sequence of time, during which cultural a daptations of principal deal ing with different educational contexts since 1986 are e laborated. It is also detailed desc ripted and explained how and why the cognition andbe havior of pr inci pal changed overtime. Chapter 6, "Growing in succeeding: t he e xperience and features of collaborative development" i s about cultural products formed by the c ultural a daption of the principa l during the yea r s, which is also c all ed c olla borative developing method of kindergarten: the flowing cultural influences, t he de velopment of the learning t eacher groups and the management methods of de mocratic solicitude. The thesis als o manifests the scientific and efficiency of principal ’ s cultural adapt ion according to the running methods of kindergart en,de velopi ng met hods of teacher groups as well as management policy. Chapter 7, "Confusion and refl ection", gives the suggestive answers to the princ ipal ’s confusions a nd the outlook of kindergarten development.
