Cultural Appropriate Pedagogy is not a specific teaching method or strategy,but an educational concept.It advocates providing appropriate education for students with diverse cultural backgrounds to ensure that all students receive learning support and academic success in school.The thesis surveys rural schools in two townships in H County,Yunnan Province using methods such as classroom observation,interviews,and collection of texts.The survey found that the teaching content of cultural suitability of rural teachers in ethnic regions mainly includes: ethnic differences suitable for students,language differences,life experience,family background,ability differences,and appropriate evaluation methods.Using Banks' s theory of integration of ethnic cultures to analyze the Cultural Appropriate Pedagogy of rural teachers in ethnic regions,we can see that teachers mainly use the contribution method,ethnic addition method and transformation method to carry out cultural suitability teaching.The survey shows that integrating ethnic content into the curriculum is an effective way to carry out culturally appropriate teaching.The main factors influencing teachers to carry out culturally appropriate teaching include four aspects: school environment,customs and habits of ethnic regions and parents' educational concepts,student status,and their ability.Among them,teachers' cross-cultural adaptability is the prerequisite for carrying out cultural suitability teaching.A good cultural environment in schools is an important guarantee for the realization of teachers' cultural suitability teaching.The cultural ecological environment and student learning status in ethnic regions are teachers' cultural suitability the basis of teaching.Based on this,the thesis proposes the following four aspects to promote the cultural suitability teaching of rural teachers in ethnic areas: improving the cultural sensitivity of rural teachers,creating a school environment that promotes the cultural suitability teaching of rural teachers in ethnic areas,and helping rural teachers in ethnic areas Carry out the training of knowledge and skills required for culturally appropriate teaching,and create rural schools,families,and social education communities in ethnic regions.
