The industrial revolution brought not only the rapid development of the economic and socialbenefits to the world, has also brought environmental problems should not be underestimated.With the continuous development of social economy, environmental problems have become more prominent in the human face, become one of the major issues in the current humanhave to face. Actively popularizing environmental awareness in all of humanity is one of theeffective measures to improve the environment, only human beings can enhanceenvironmental literacy, from practice to pay attention to the environmental problems in the social life and improve the state of the environment. In the development stage of life, a profound influence on a person’s period is the high school stage. So, in the geography teaching to improve the environmental consciousness education of high school students, is not only beneficial to guide students to form the correct concept of environmental ethics, and the future in the attention to environmental issues, also be of great advantage in social life.Therefore, the status quo, consciousness education of high school environment to identify problems and propose effective method and strategy to solve the problem, is an important subject of geography education.This paper is based on the high school geography teaching, characteristics and objectives for the content of the environmental consciousness education, using literature research,questionnaire survey research methods, on the basis of relevant theory, explores the importance of practice, the study through a questionnaire survey ofmiddle schools in Hebei Province, get feedback status and effect of environmental awarenesseducation, put forward the corresponding strategies and suggestions that the problem is, so that the service of environmental education in the classroom, the real service to the students.In this paper, from the overall point of view mainly includes five parts, the first part is theanalysis of the environmental consciousness education background, meaning and so on. The second part mainly introduced the research progress of environmental education at home and abroad, and summarizes the theoretical basis of it. The third part of the status of implementation of environmental consciousness education of some middle school in Hebei province conducted a questionnaire survey and analysis, and put forward the education strategy for specific problems. The fourth part summarizes the content associated with the environmental consciousness education in high school geography textbook chapters, thesection case design. The fifth part summarizes the main conclusions of this study.
