| China’s environmental problem is becoming increasingly serious. So how to strengthenenvironmental protection is one of the urgent tasks faced by modern society. In order toprotect the environment, people should raise public environmental awareness.Environmental awareness refers to the understanding level of people’s environmentalprotection, and it also means that people need to adjust their activities and social behaviorconstantly for protecting environment.The cultivation of environmental awareness has a certain theoretical foundation and canlearn from the domestic and abroad experience. In addition, nowadays people in china paymore attention to the environmental problem. Environmental conscious in high schoolgeography teaching has certain feasibility, which we can discuss from two aspects. One is theadvantages of environmental awareness training and the other is the specific content of it.Students focus on the environment knowledge through geography teaching and make fulluse of it on daily life. In order to study the effect of teaching’s influence. I design aquestionnaire survey and the content is divided into seven parts, which are the basicenvironment knowledge, environmental awareness, the behavior of environmental protection,weihai actual environmental problem, the relationship between environment and economy, thewhole cognition about the environmental theory and environment and the sources ofenvironment knowledge. The investigation objects are new students and graduates of the highschool. In terms of environmental basic knowledge, the new students do better than thegraduates of high school. However, for the environmental problems in daily life, the newstudents can’t play the leading part.They are almost the same on the aspect of some questionswhich are less involved in class, such as the haze problem. According to the survey, manystudents selected no haze problems, which is opposite to the actual situation. In theinvestigation of environment knowledge sources, the new students choose a higher proportionof school education while the graduates choose the network media. The result is related to theage and the diversity of the information sources. Comparing the survey date, we can draw aconclusion that high school geography teaching plays an important part in environmentalawareness training and we should promote the implementation.In the process of implementing environmental awareness training, people should follow certain principles, such as the combination theory of imparting knowledge and cultivatingawareness, the association principle of theory and actual situation and the combining theoryof entirety and stages. We need to take some methods, such as teaching method, classroomcooperative interactive exploration method, experimental demonstration method and surveymethod. These methods with high feasibility are illustrated by practical teaching cases. Interms of the ways of cultivating environmental awareness, the author explains the questionsfrom the following ways: compulsory course, elective course, school-based curriculum, theschool community activities and the public welfare activities outside. These ways are moresuitable for the current high school teaching.In a word, through the investigation of high school geography training on the effect ofenvironmental awareness training, we can find that the geography teaching plays an importantrole. The research of implementation methods, the principles and the ways are based on theactual situation and basic feasibility. In the future, the author will continue to make efforts toexplore new ways of environmental consciousness cultivation. |
