With its fickle speed, changeable rotation and unpredictable orbit, Ping-Pong is a kind of sport which needs people to make a series of responses in a short time. Only equipped with the capacity to predict the orbit and placement of the Ping-Pong, table tennis player can make the accurate judgments and reactions to the oncoming ball. So the player who can process and analyze the oncoming ball in the shortest time, make rapid and accurate judgment and stroke correspondingly can be regarded as an excellent one. Therefore, you must look right place at the right time so as to make the correct predictions. The paradigm adopted in this experiment is the expert team to novice team. We analyze eye movements of the students of different levels when they predict the oncoming ball through the experiment so as to study their eye movements and accuracy when they calculate placement. This research makes a test on eye movements and accuracy of eight college students with secondary level and the other eight average students in predicting the placement. The experimental results show that:1.From the results of the placement accuracy analysis, the accuracy of the expert team is obviously higher than that of the novice team in predicting the placement after watching the table tennis serve video, which further illustrates the expert team can extract more valuable information and make more accurate judgment in their visual research of predicting placement.2. From the analysis of experimental results, the expert team has wider visual range and gazes longer with more and intensive eye fixation in the region of interest when predicting the placement after watching the table tennis serve video.
