The aim of the present investigation was to investigate the effects of trainingexperience in cognitive process for general features. The present study compared theperformance of table tennis players and undergraduates with Myoelectricity activityand event-related potentials (ERPs). In order to do this, the participants will be shownthe non-trained stimuli in a laboratory setting and a number of techniques will be usedtogether to record the data such as EEG/ERP recorded from64electrodes,myoelectricity recorded from16channels and reaction time recorded by biologicalsignal measurement and analysis system were synchronize by a self-designedprogramming with E-prime2.0.Two tests were designed for general features (i.e.intact circle and chipped direction). Non-key-pressing and key-pressing tasks wereincluded in each test. The results showed:(1)Table tennis players identified the general features faster than undergraduates inreaction time (RT), but their movement time (MT) did not differ significantly.(2) In test which target stimuli is intact circle, ERPs failed to show main effects onlatency and amplitude of P1; table tennis players showed longer latency of N1inoccipital sites, players have shorter latency of P3in occipital sites andparietal-occipital sites。(3) In test which target stimuli is225°chipped direction circle, table tennis playersshowed bigger amplitude of N1in parietal sites, shorter latency of P3in occipitalsites.(4) In compare the data of test which target is intact circle stimuli and test whichtarget is chipped circle stimuli, the date of target intact circle stimuli showed shorterlatency and smaller amplitude of N1,bigger amplitude of LPC(late positivecomponent) was showed in test which target is intact circle stimuli.(5)Earlier activation time、shorter latency and bigger amplitude happened in presscondition then press condition in LPC,increasing trend of LPC in unpress condition, however, there is decreasing trend of LPC in press condition.Concludes that:(1)Table tennis players failed to show advantages in visual search for generalfeatures, shorter reaction time in decision process at the same cost of the cognitiveresources as non-players, and they are more conservative when they discriminatespecificity feature(2) Table tennis players were faster than non-players in sharp and direction featuresdiscrimination, however they failed to show advantages in MT which implied that theadvantage of them were central process(3)The target stimulations which bad march with background have more quickly attention activation then those good march with background. The decision time ofgeneral features was affected by the width of visual search.(4)For tasks asked output reaction, there are earlier happened time and moresignificate in emotion activation.(5)Subjects have a recall process after finished tasks when they are asked reaction inmind.
