Learning difficulties are the inabilities of people with normal sense organs and intelligence who can not reach the expected level of intellectual potential and the requirements of teaching goals due to such non-intelligence factors as social problems, family problems, mental disorder and poor learning methods. For junior middle school students, learning difficulties can cause tiredness of their studies, lack of self-confidence and even self-abasement, which can seriously affect not only their future physical and mental developments but also social stabilities. Therefore, Learning difficulties have been widely concerned by our educators.In the recent studies, the types of learning difficulties, the behaviors of learning difficulties and some particular measures to deal with the problems have been discussed theoretically, and some achievements have been made, which lay a good foundation for the studies of learning difficulties from the perspective of psychology. However, in practice, there are few studies aiming at the specific students, especially students from migrant families(SMF). Learning difficulties among SMF have become an important issue related to these students’ future, which must be paid great attention to.In this paper, the learning difficulties of students from migrant families are comprehensively investigated through questionnaires and interviews in the 31 st middle school of Qingdao. The reasons of learning difficulties among SMF are deeply analyzed, and some methods to solve the problem are also pointed out.This paper is divided into the following four parts.The first part is introduction, which is reviewed the present research. The differences between junior middle and primary school students about learning difficulties, and the behaviors of SMF in learning difficulties are analyzed.The second part is result analysis, which mainly discusses the basic situation and characteristics of SMF in learning difficulties from classroom performances, homework, school achievements, learning methods and learning habits.The third part is the reason analysis, which mainly discusses the cause of learning difficulties in SMF from their own family situation, student themselves, teachers and social factors.The last part is some suggestions, which is concluded, in education practice, that close cooperation between school and family, proper adjustment of teaching methods and improvements of social awareness of SMF education are some effective and efficient ways to develop a good social and policy environment for SMF and to improve the current situation of SMF in learning difficulties.
