| The Ministry of Education promulgated the "high school chemistry curriculum standards" in 2003. The new curriculum emphasizes the scientific literacy, the humanistic connotation, and the various inquiry learning activities which are mainly based on experiments, paying more attention to cultivating students’ scientific spirit, innovative spirit and practical ability. In recent years, a lot of colleges and universities in the admission of the new assessment process have also strengthened logical thinking ability, the ability to solve practical problems and scientific thinking and innovative ability. Therefore, under the background of the new curriculum, how to carry out the inquiry teaching of chemistry experiment in senior high school has become an urgent problem. Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform, high school chemistry teachers in teaching practice keep trying and exploring in the teaching practice, finding some good teaching modes and achieving certain results. However, the investigation shows that the development of chemistry experiments in some rural senior high schools is not optimistic. There are many difficulties and problems in the implementation process. In the face of many problems, in rural senior high schools, especially whose economy, culture and infrastructure are relatively backward is there a need to carry out chemical experiment inquiry teaching? If there any, how should these schools carry out them? And in the practical teaching of rural senior high schools, what should the government, the schools and the teachers do?The research is based on the existing theory, through a year of practice research, trying to use the comparative study, questionnaire survey and action research methods to explain the importance and necessity of rural senior high school chemistry experiment inquiry teaching, try to find some ways to explore teaching methods, and put forward improving plan, so as to improve the knowledge level of rural senior high school students. The study has found:1.Compared with the traditional teaching, through carrying out chemistry experiment inquiry teaching, the students in the experimental class were better than that of the comparing class in the chemistry test. So were the experimental class in the experimental skills, experimental inquiry consciousness, consciousness of finding and solving problems, hands-on ability, experiment design and innovation ability and so on. So the development of experimental inquiry teaching in rural senior high school is imperative.2.In rural senior high schools, though there are many difficulties carrying out experimental inquiry teaching, there are some appropriate ways, for example, the creation of situation induced inquiry, question consciousness guided inquiry, and inquiry on the encouragement of teachers and students. And there are some activities,for example, through the scientific evaluation of deepening the research, organizing the students to carry out the grouping experiment, teachers explaining when doing experiment, combining multimedia technology with demonstration experiment, and inspiring students to carry out extra-curricular experimental interest group activities,etc. Through improving plan, the higher authorities and schools should attach great importance to the construction of chemical laboratory and experimental teaching staff, increase investment intensity and improve the management and evaluation system; teachers need to change the teaching ideas and learn to reflect and establish lifelong learning ideas. |
