It is a critical period for the teenagers’ personality and behavior habit formation, as well as their world view, philosophy and sense of worth in the adolescent period. While with larger pressure in mind, the children in single parent family are more likely to have deviant behavior than those in the average family, which brings great difficulties to the family, society and school education. Though the traditional moral education method has played a role in solving the problem of the children’s deviant behavior in single parent family, it still has a lot to do from the foundation. While the value concept of social work is full of humanistic and the method becomes more flexible, which brings great advantages to stimulate the potential of the students and correct their problems. Thus it is an effective way to solve the deviant behavior problem of the teenagers in single parent family.During the internship in the S Middle School of Wan’an County, with methods of literature analysis, questionnaire survey and interview, we explore the concept, performance, characteristics and causes of adolescent deviant behavior in single parent family. Results showed that their deviant behaviors mainly exist in psychological, daily life, learning process and moral aspect. Through the investigation and analysis, it is found that the factors of the deviant behaviors are various, which concerns the factors of individual, family, school, community and peer groups, such as the adolescents’ personal psychological quality and personality, parents’ educational level, family economic condition, school’s management, teachers’ management level, the environment of the community and peer group consciousness.And then according to the different degree of the deviant behavior of single parent family, we try to use case work, group work method of social work to explore the feasible solution of solving the problems. Practice has proved that social work method can have an important effect on the correction of the single parent family teenagers’ deviant behavior. Therefore the introduction and application of the school social work to the moral education in school is necessary.
