A Study On The Ideological And Political Education Of Minority Students In Colleges And Universities

China is a united mult-ethnic country,56 ethnic groups together constitute the unity of the Chinese nation. Minority is an integral part of long-term development of the Chinese nation. New Period, as a outstanding element and knowledgeable person in minority groups, like most college students, minority college students not only have positive, active thinking, strong sense of democracy, practical values trend, but also have their own features, such as:strong national sentiment, strong sense of national closure psychology and self-protection. This is because the majority of minority college students from ethnic minority areas, border areas and poverty-stricken mountainous remote areas, by ethnic, religious practices and family influence, but there are reasons for the complexity of the natural environment, weak economic foundation, lack of information and other aspects. Minority college students are the backbone of regional development, do their ideological and political education work to promote economic and social development in minority areas, promote national cultural characteristics, maintaining social stability ethnic areas is of great significance. However, the traditional ideological and political education of minority college students to either ignore the particularity of the ideological and political education of common college students to generalize, do not analyze specific issues, or mistakenly believe that only National university have minority students, so only the minority college students of 15 National university as research subjects, but then the minority college students of Non-nationality universities to avoid aside. These two research perspectives on issues related to minority college students are not comprehensive, so that minority college students’ideological and political educations have many weak links.This topic is intended to Sichuan Non-nationality universities and National universities as examples, research and analysis of the ideological and political education for minority college students of different kinds of universities, thus to find out the existing problems of ideological and political education for students in different universities. Combined with the similarities and differences of ideological and political education for minority college students in the National universities and the Non-nationality universities, and then puts forward the concrete counter-measures on how to strengthen the ideological and political education for minority college students in Sichuan, and some innovative suggestions, so as to continuously enrich our college ethnic minority education theory and method, the education of new way of exploring.
