Ideological & Political Education Of Minority Nationality College Students

College students are precious talent resources. Our motherland takes great pride in them and expects much of them. It is believed that they are the masters of the future world and they will bring a brighter future to China. As an important part of the talent force, minority nationality college students have to undertake many significant responsibilities. In addition to their important roles in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, they have to help contribute to the local development in various fields in the ethnic groups. Nowadays, the environmental changes in and out of China, along with the Internet, have brought about great challenges to the ideological & political education of minority college students. Faced with great academic, economic and social pressures, most of the minority nationality college students worry about their future employment and care about how to preserve the rights and interests of their ethnic groups. All the concerns have a lot to do with their daily life and have become the main factors to cause some ideological problems. All the above-mentioned worries and pressures should be taken into consideration in the ideological & political education. To great extents, the traditional ways can no longer meet the requirements of the current situation for two reasons. The first reason is that they fail to adapt to the changing environment throughout the world and the second one is that they disregard the unique features and complexity which may bring some problems that are hard to solve in the ideological & political education of minority nationality college students. Therefore, it is imperative that the educators should discard many conventional notions, establish and perfect a scientific and reasonable content system, and take proper measures to carry out and enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of the ideological & political education of minority nationality college students.
