Swimming is one of the most popular fitness program in Summer.Suitable for swimming exercise can bring people not only psychological pleasure, smooth and beautiful body shape, also can enhance the skills of the cardiovascular system,enhanced physique, improve the coordination, and sports activities is the rate of strain and damage to the minimum. Swimming facilities are now more and more complete and popular.Now more and more people know the importance of swimming,learning swimming has become an inevitable choice for many young children during the summer vacation. Many primary school in Shanghai have already arranged the students of grade four learn swimming,and after a period of learning for its testing results.Now more and more teenagers attention their body image,studies have found that since childhood they have body image, the elementary stage is an important period of rapid development in physical and mental, now most of the pupils,especially elementary school students in Shanghai is an only child in their home.Their self-esteem, self consciousness, the development of academic performance especially by parents. In the form of new curriculum reform, the students’ body self-esteem depends on the study result, study result has important influence on the body self-esteem.The purpose of this article is to explore the relationship between the swimming phase standard test scores and the students’ body self-esteem, to understand the student changes of the physical self-esteem from learn swimming before and after their status, physical self-esteem have differences between different levels of students and between boys and girls,I hope that through this study can be targeted in the process of learning swimming to the elementary student’s body self-esteem positive and effective intervention.Make the elementary student’s body self-esteem can be effectively improved and improve.Meanwhile also can promote students learning swimming better and have the skill of swimming under good physical self-esteem.Eventually achieve the body jointly improve self-esteem and swimming performance of a win-win situation.This paper chose three elementary school in xuhui district, four grade students’ body self-esteem as the research object, To analysis of the situation about the change of pupils’ physical self-esteem before andafter learning swimming.The results show that:1. Found that before Learn swimming,students ‘ physical self-esteem condition is relatively good, but there is a big difference between each other, part of the students’ body self-esteem is poor;Physical self-esteem between boys and girls in the dimension of individual gender characteristics of the obvious(for example: strength,flexibility, obvious difference in the other dimensions were small;2. The students’ that can swim that body self-esteem is significantly higher than students’ body self-esteem can’t swim;3. Different Level between students has different physical self-esteem, high level of students’ body self-esteem scores higher than the level of poor students’ body self-esteem scores, and the same level of students’ body self-esteem also has bigger difference;4.The failed students of final test’s body self-esteem level compared with the first test present decline trend.5.Most of the original grade students performance has been improved, and the body self-esteem level also have been improved accordingly.6.Swimming stage is positively correlation with students’ body self-esteem, As the improve of students test scores, the physical self-esteem of students’ will increase.
