Body mass index is commonly used internationally to measure the extent of the body fat,and whether to restore an important index. It has been used by people all the time.As an individual,self-esteem has been attached great importance in different fields, whether it is growth or development. There is a close relationship between BMI and self-esteem.This paper aims to study the relationship between different body mass index and self-esteem of 5-6 grade pupils, and put forward some educational suggestions for primary school education. The research object of this study is a total of 200 primary school students in grade 5-6,using the method of questionnaire and experiment. Two studies have been carried out in this paper. The relationship between body mass index and explicit self-esteem of primary school students in grade 5-6 was studied by Rosenberg self-esteem questionnaire. In the second study, the relationship between body mass index and implicit self-esteem of pupils in grades 5-6 was studied.Implicit association test was used to study the level of implicit self-esteem.The experiment was carried out by using e-prime software. Then both studies use SPSS statistical software to analyze, describe and verify the data. The results showed that: in the first study, the correlation between the body mass index and the explicit self-esteem score was correlated. The correlation coefficient of Pearson was-0.72**,showing a negative correlation.P=0.001<0.01 was very significant. The pupils with high body mass index showed low self-esteem,and conversely, the pupils with normal body mass index had higher self-esteem.Of different body mass index standard range of normal group and overweight explicit self-esteem scores of independent sample T test,we can see that the P=0.001 is less than 0.01 significant level, indicating a body mass index of normal and overweight students self-esteem scores mean there are significant differences. In the body mass index super restructuring,40 children from different sexes were assessed by the independent sample T test.A correlation test between explicit and implicit self-esteem was conducted in the second study, and it was found that there was no correlation between them. The body mass index(body mass index)and implicit self-esteem were tested, and there was no correlation between them. The different BMI: normal group and overweight and implicit self esteem of independent sample T test,we can see that P=0.20 is greater than 0.05,level of significance, but also shows that the body mass index of normal and overweight subjects do not exist significant differences in implicit self-esteem and.The following conclusions are drawn: first, there is a correlation between body mass index and self-esteem score. The body mass index is high, that is,overweight self-esteem of 5-6 grade pupils is lower than that of 5-6 grade pupils with normal body mass index.Second, the self-esteem score of 5-6 grade pupils with normal body mass index is higher than that of body mass index, which is higher than that of 5-6 grade pupils.Third,in the overrecombination of body mass index, the value of explicit self-esteem of girls is lower than that of boys.Fourth, there is no correlation between the explicit self-esteem and the implicit self-esteem of the pupils in Grade 5-6.Fifth,the body mass index of the pupils in Grade 5-6 was not related to the implicit self-esteem.
