Research On Teaching Design Of Engineering Thinking In STEM Course

In recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology, the continuous progress of curriculum reform, the rise of STEM education has aroused the attention of domestic experts, STEM courses have sprung up in the country to carry out. STEM through project learning, problem based learning and engineering design based to incorporate science, technology, engineering and mathematics, thus greatly improving the students’ interest in learning, improve the learning efficiency of students. At the same time, engineering thinking is no longer limited in the so-called science and engineering fields. The cultivation of engineering thinking as the core of the STEM education has always been the focus of foreign research, in the era of the modern public innovation is considered necessary for innovation ability of logical thinking, but now everyone is more emphasis on high school students, the cultivation of students’ engineering thinking ability, some even ignore the pupils that they did not have the ability of project of this kind of thinking is or is not need to cultivate engineering thinking. Actually from the point of view of education, engineering thinking should cover every stage of education, should not be disconnect, should from childhood and the cultivation of an awareness of construction, help students grew up understanding and experience of the impact of the project on individuals, events, social. And they should learn to the training of Engineering dimension to aid in the face and solve complex problems and challenges. This paper will explore how to cultivate students’ engineering thinking in the elementary school STEM curriculum, and provide a reference for the design of STEM curriculum in primary schools.Firstly, the author describes the research background, content, and define the significance of research methods and related concepts. We combed the research status at home and abroad STEM education and engineering thinking training, and related teaching theories elaborated.Secondly, the author summarizes the education model of STEM education and engineering thinking, and design a model primary school STEM education in engineering thinking training. According to build teaching model, in the primary school attached to Shanghai normal university in the course of the 3D printing to choose the appropriate theme, activity and project implementation, aimed at the problems in the implementation process, revise and improve the model.Finally, the paper summarizes research provides outlook and lack of follow-up research studies.
