Chemistry is an important foundation of modern science and technology and industrial production.Chemistry teaching bears the task of cultivating students' engineering thinking.Based on engineering methodology,pragmatism education theory,and constructivist learning theory,the thesis defines the concepts of basic engineering knowledge,engineering thinking and the relationship between them,clarifies the elements of engineering thinking that can be cultivated in middle school chemistry teaching,sorts out and analyzes them.The basic engineering knowledge in the textbook is clarified,and the presentation forms and training methods of engineering thinking are clarified.Based on this,through questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews,we understand the current situation of middle school chemistry teaching,and analyze the feasibility and necessity of permeating engineering thinking in middle school chemistry courses.In response to the problems found in the investigation process,combined with the characteristics of the subject,a high school chemistry teaching strategy that penetrates the cultivation of engineering thinking is proposed,and the teaching model based on design(LBD)is explored for teaching models that are conducive to cultivating students' engineering thinking.The engineering thinking elements are divided into levels,and an evaluation scale for each element of engineering thinking is developed to judge the level of students' thinking,so that the thinking evaluation becomes quantifiable and visualized.Based on the above research,select the compulsory stage "Sulfur Conversion" and the optional compulsory "Industrial Synthetic Ammonia" to carry out the design and implementation of classroom teaching based on the cultivation of engineering thinking.From the perspective of knowledge classification,"sulfur conversion" belongs to the field of elemental compounds,and "industrial synthetic ammonia" belongs to the field of chemical reaction principles;from the cognitive level,the former uses the "imitation" method to carry out teaching,which requires students to develop engineering thinking.It is at a lower level.The latter adopts the method of "guidance" to carry out teaching,and the level of requirements for the development of students' engineering thinking is raised,which is in line with the development of students' cognitive level and the concept of advanced learning.After class teaching reflection,interview feedback,student testing and other methods are used to evaluate teaching activities.The results show that classroom teaching based on engineering thinking can promote students' learning attitude,thinking development and transfer application ability to a certain extent.It should be noted that the cultivation of engineering thinking is not accomplished overnight.The cultivation of all aspects of students' engineering thinking ability is a long-term process.As a preliminary exploration,this study can play a reference role in teaching practice.
