Currently mental health of college students is not optimistic: under various pressures of study, social communication, appraised, enrollment and employment, increase their degree of psychological anxiety, depression and even suicide is also common in the media. Sports as a kind of economical, effective and simple interventions for people gradually realized, attention, this paper taking the opportunity of starting point, through sports games experimental attempts to verify the benefits of exercise intervention on College Students’ psychological anxiety,provide a useful reference for the improvement of College Students’ mental health level. Explored by short-term exercise intervention and long-term exercise intervention as a means, to improve and enhance the feasibility of the mental health status of college students and according to the degree of anxiety and symptoms in college students were designed short-term experimental exercise intervention and long-term exercise intervention experiment, subjects for one week and three months of exercise intervention experiment, so as to analyze the exercise intervention on anxiety of college students to improve the short-term benefit and long-term benefit,for the future exercise intervention to improve the degree of anxiety of college students provide the basis and reference of field of exercise intervention.With 2000 questionnaires handed out in Qufu Normal University, the research adopts the questionnaires method selecting 252 students who have an anxiety disorder. Among them, a group of 60 participants received exercise intervention of medium intensity in which the exercise activities were mainly sports games.Short-term intervention and long-term intervention,before the test,test using S ASafter measuring tables,study confirmsthat exercise interventions for anxiety symp toms have a good improvement.Short-term exercise intervention: it can reduce the symptoms though not effective.Long-term exercise intervention: it can work to improve symptoms of anxiety to a great extent.Through the comparison between the experimental results of short-term and long-term exercise intervention, it can be found that the short-term exercise intervention is much less effective than that of the latter one. That is to saylong-term exercise intervention is a better choice than short-term exercise intervention for improving anxiety.
