Muslims are person of faith in Islam. There are ten Muslim ethnics in our country. The ten ethnics’ population and social development has some common characteristics because of the same religion, customs and history. They are generally referred to as Muslims. Muslims are an important part of Chinese ethnic minorities. To research Muslim ethnics’population development has a very important practical significance to promote the Chinese Muslim ethnics’ development.The paper analyses the number of the Muslim population, geographical distribution, changes in population structure, fertility, life expectancy and health, cultural quality and composition of the industrial occupation based on the three year’s census data of 1990,2000 and 2010. Comprehensive analysis to obtain the following characteristics variation of Muslim population:In aspect of population growth and distribution, the Muslim population is growing faster than the national and Han’s, the regional distribution is relatively concentrated; Aspect of sex ratio, the population sex ratio is normal and decreases gradually, Varies widely among ten ethnics; In terms of fertility, the total fertility rate is high but decreased, the average of ten ethnics was 1.53 in 2010; In aspect of life expectancy and health, while the mortality rate decreases, the life expectancy Muslims and infant mortality rates are lower than the international Muslims, but the level education is higher than the international Muslims.
