Profile instruction started from 2005 in St Petersburg, in 2007 about 95% of the senior middle-schools completed the new reform implementation. Profile instruction in St Petersburg follows the requirements of Russian Federation, is in conformity with curriculum goal and curriculum structure, and changes its course content combined with its own characteristics. On the one hand, set up different professional direction and course content with their characteristics. On the other hand set up the same professional direction, but the content are different with others.When Russia began profile instruction, they pay more attention to set up the reasonable curriculum goals; pay more attention to design the suitable curriculum structure; Pay more attention to rich the course content, to meet the demand of different students. Not only Russia,but also the world’s major developed countries also exists the trend. This is high school curriculum reform trend.This article makes systemic evaluation and contrasitive analysis on the meaning, course structure, and course content of profile instruction.Both st Petersburg and Shanghai have the common tendency in the curriculum reform: 1. Pay attention to students’ individual character and personality development,respect the students as a "person", pay more attention to the student individual uniqueness; 2. Pay attention to cultivate the students’ learning ability and vocational ability, knowledge is no longer the sole focus of classroom teaching and school education, education is to cultivate students willing to learn, and good at learning and the ability of lifelong learning, in addition to the ordinary high school only heavy light vocational tendency, empower ordinary education new responsibilities- vocational education enlightenment.
