Cheng Hongbing is a well-known Senior Chinese Teacher of middle school in China. He has made remarkable achievements in the Chinese teaching and school management. Especially, his theory of Chinese Personality Education has made nationwide influence in Chinese education circle. Studying the practical application and the dynamic development of his education concepts have profound guiding significance for Chinese teachers of middle school in the improvement of Chinese teaching.In this paper, case study and literature review are adopted to study Cheng Hongbing’s theory of Chinese Personality Education from the perspectives of practical application and dynamic development, thus to develop a method for teachers or principals to draw experience from this theory.This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the basis of this paper, literature review, concept explanation and research ideas and research methods. The second chapter illustrates the practical application of Cheng Hongbing’s Theory of Chinese Personality Education, including the development track, teaching case analysis, and the penetration of other works. The third chapter discusses about the dynamic development of Cheng Hongbing’s Theory of Chinese Personality Education, including the practical application of this theory in Jianping High School, Cheng Hongbing and Shenzhen Mingde Experimental School, as well as the continuity of Cheng Hongbing’s Theory of Chinese Personality Education. The fourth chapter is the analysis of the shortcomings of Cheng Hongbing’s Theory of Chinese Personality Education, including the inadequate attention to the personality of Chinese teachers and the insufficient discussion on the significance of the personality context. The fifth chapter covers the author’s thinking and understanding of Cheng Hongbing’s Theory of Chinese Personality Education, based on which the author proposed three suggestions according to personal experience, namely actually standing on students’ stance, taking students as the subject of the "independence and exploration" model of Chinese teaching and exerting the personality charm of the Chinese teachers.The final conclusion is that the concepts and methods of Chinese teaching and school management proposed by Cheng Hongbing are worth for Chinese teachers to learn and refer to, which play a positive guiding role in Chinese teaching.
