The physical activity has not been paid enough attention by students for a long time. However, with the deepening of research on physical activity, more and more studies have found that it not only has a positive effect on the individual’s physical health, but also has a good effect on the individual’s mental health. This study mainly from the perspective of the impact of physical activity on individual psychology, in order to enhance the ability of individual social interaction as the goal, this study is attempted to explore the physical activity effect upon social avoidance among college students;Questionnaire, as the main method, in this study include: Physical Activities Rating Scale(PARS-3), Multidimensional Body-Self Relations. Questionnaire(MBSRQ), Self-Esteem Scale(SES) and the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale(SAD). Use 541 college students’ data from four universities for model constructing, and testing the effect of mediation and moderation. Also study students’ activity and avoidance of social relationships, and the role of self-body image and self-esteem in them. The results show that the model fit is good, but depending on the sex, the interpretation of the model is slightly different;Conclusions:(1) Physical activity, self-body image and self-esteem levels have a significant positive relationship; but they have a significant negative relationship with social avoidance.(2) Self-body image plays a simple intermediary role, while, body image and self-esteem plays a chain intermediary role between physical activity and social avoidance.(3) Self-esteem does not play a simple intermediary role between physical activity and social avoidance.(4) There may be gender differences in mode. For boys, the self-body image and self-esteem which fully mediated. For girls, the self-body image and self-esteem partially mediated.
