The attempt teaching mainly means that starting with the question proposed by the teacher, students study course book by themselves combining the existing knowledge and experience, attempt to do exercise, discuss with each other, listen to teacher’s specific explanation and finish learning new knowledge depending upon their own efforts. Attempt teaching is introduced into the teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" in primary mathematics; namely, the teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" is based on the theory of attempt teaching.The paper consists of five parts. Firstly, the introduction part states the research background of teaching design, theoretical and practical significance that teaching design introduces attempt teaching, and includes the literature review. Then it sets forth the theoretical basis of teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" in primary mathematics. The third part explains the students’ learning foundation of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" through the investigation and survey, and gets to know the current situation of teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" through collecting, sorting out and analyzing the teaching designs to find the following problems:the design of teaching objective emphasizes basic knowledge and basic skills which are not comprehensive; proposed learning requirement is vague without clear direction; teacher controls excessively causing the lack of students’independence; teachers neglect to teach students the calculating principle; teachers understand the attempt teaching in one-sided view; students don’t have strong self-control ability and distract easily; students’ reading comprehension ability in mathematics needs to be improved; this part provides reference for the teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems". The fourth part introduces the teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" from four aspects of teaching objective, teaching content, teaching process and teaching evaluation. The fifth part is about the implementation and reflection of the teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems", and states briefly the implementation and effect of teaching design to make teaching reflection from four aspects of teaching objective, teaching content, teaching process and teaching evaluation. Moreover, the fifth part proposes the following suggestions:the behavioral subject of teaching objective cannot have deviation; question group teaching is adopted to reduce the learning span; pay attention to the usage of guided method of reading to improve the students’ capacities of analyzing problems; lay stress on developping the students’ verbal dexterity to promote students’ participation in the classroom; highlight the leading role of teachers by "xianzhi" leading "houzhi"; evaluation method on classroom should be flexible and diverse. The teaching design of "Two-step Calculation on Fraction Multiplication and Division of Practical Problems" is expected to provide some useful references.
