The key point of Problem-Based Learning(referred to as PBL)is that improve students’ comprehensive ability from problem solving. This suits our state’s mathematics education situation. In addition to that, because of its extremely advantage in promoting educated learning about studying, cooperating and surviving, the PBL has caused wide public concern over the resent years by the mathematics education in primary school.The implementation of actual classroom teaching cannont without a tangible and concrete teaching plan. With PBL as the theoretical guidance, this study mainly talks about the teaching design of triangle cognition in the primary schools. Research is divided into five parts. First part is the introduction to the background, the history and the current situation of PBL. Verifying the feasibility and rationality of this teaching program. The meaning, characteristic and enforcement procedures are detailed in the following part as well as the comparison with the problem teaching and the discourse of PBL’s advantages. As the initial basis of instructional design. The third part is about the analysis which after the observation, interview and questionnaires to the related schools. In order to understand the former concept of students, the current situation of mathematics learning experience, and analyse the specific teaching content of the triangle recognition, the teaching key of triangular. The fourth part, design the instructional program from four aspects:targets, questions, activities and the comments. The last but not the least, by investgations, affirming the positive value of the PBL. Pointing out deficiency, finding the directions for continuing research are important as well.Although this design still has some places need to be improved, but the results of this study show that PBL teaching design has high positive significance in enhancing students mathematics learning enthusiasm and affirming the value of mathematical knowledge, developing students’ problem inquiry consciousness, hands-on and problem solving capability. Also the PBL training the students’ autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning force. This research should be able to make primary school maths teachers think about instructional design, and also provides practical reference for primary school mathematics teachers’ instructional design.
