A new round of mathematics curriculum reform proposes that the original single rigid, passive acceptance of learning methods should be changed into active inquiry learning mode. Based on the life experience of the students,nowadays mathematics classroom learning solves practical problems with help of existing knowledge reserves and mathematical methods and summarizes abstract mathematical thinking methods and construct mathematics learning model,finally achieving the purpose of applying mathematics to life. The ultimate goal of mathematics education is to cultivate students’ ability of thinking in mathematics, to feel the value of mathematics application, and to make them fully developed.Based on the concept of new curriculum reform, this study illustrates application of inquiry learning in mathematics teaching in primary schools through teaching material analysis, teaching case analysis, learning task design, etc, and elaborates the operation process of task based inquiry learning in classroom teaching from the pro-phase and principles of instructional design and specific organizational strategies. It is expected to provide some guidance and specific cases for task-based inquiry learning teaching organization after practice. By combining this theory of "based on tasks", the purpose is to analyze and practice the design of inquiry learning teaching in primary schoolmathematics systematically and to design of its development.
