Design And Development Of Web Adaptive Learning System Based On PUSH Mechanism

Adaptive learning system is not only the cross research field of pedagogy, cognitive science and technology, but it also a hot issue for application of artificial intelligence in the current education. Traditional online learning system offers the same teaching methods and learning resources for every learner, it makes them have no idea when they face the massive studying resources which lead them loose directions even far beyond what they can understand in the online learning. Such situation makes a great impact on the quality of online learning. Therefore, more and more researches start to pay attention to how to build a learning environment for adaptive learning and individualized learning. In the view of the essence of adaptive learning system, it supports the online learning environment of individualized learning. According to the learners’ individual differences, learning interest and studying preferences it can provide studying favors which in agreement with the personal features, which main consist with personalized learning assets and studying strategies, etc.It is a study that focuses on the push technology and push strategy of the adaptive learning system. During this study, the core parts are student model and push strategy. The former reflects the personality characteristics of learners and learners’ individual distinctions, whichprovide the basis for push system; the other reflects the system push in what kind of learning resources, and under what circumstances push and how to push other issues. Adaptive learning is systematically push studying resources according to personal features. Not only it is the most significant supporting part in this system, but also is it a straightforward realization for the system. Adaptive learning resources are systemically based on the learner’s learning pace, and the present leaning environment pushed learning resources.This study adopted literature research method, software engineering method and design-based research method. The research’s contents include: firstly, looking up the research of intelligent tutoring system at home and abroad. It thinks that under the Push mechanism the Web adaptive learning system is the trend of current digital learning support platform. Secondly, based on the analysis and investigation, designing and develop a set of Web adaptive learning system which based on Push technology, and the empirical.Our contributions in this paper are composed of six chapters:Chapter one: it introduced the background and significance of research through network education, computer technology education and the human being needs to network. By means of studying the research and analyzing of the current adaptive learning system, then propose the research contents in this study.Chapter two: This paper made the definition and description on the related conceptions; it also took description and elaboration to the systematical theoretical basis and foundation of the software. It introduced the related concepts and the theoretical basis of personalized service and software engineering.Chapter three: Base on system theory, this thesis made design and got knowing of the Web adaptive learning system which under the Push mechanism. The key techniques in this system are analyzed and introduced. This thesis analyzed the main demand of the system, designed the main function modules of the system and prototype of the system.Chapter four: Guided by software engineering, aimed to the main function of this system to develop. At present, most of the functionality in the design of the system has been realized and can normal running. As a matter of time, some functions remain to be wait further improve.Chapter five: The trial of this system, and the experimental results are analyzed to obtain learner evaluation of the system.Chapter six: Summary of completed work, and puts forward the problems and prospects.
