Research On The Construction Of Minority Costume Education Resource

Nowadays, our country keeps increasing support for the development and introduction of educational resources according to the requirements of related educational reform and development program. Also, the country emphasis on minority’s culture protection in the level of national policy, especially claims for using the emerging information technology in systemizing, completing, standardizing, digital production and expression on Chinese minority’ culture. Therefore, it becomes a chronic and basic work to collect and systemize educational resources of minority costumes. Meanwhile, the work of manufacturing, preserving, utilizing and sharing the resources is of high difficulty and important status, which makes the work a strategic culture protection task. This thesis presented standard and digital images of material objects from villages in store of ethnic culture resources and collections from other preservation units, meanwhile it founded a large-scale and qualified database of educational resources of minority costumes which all produced digitally. Through the information network platform, the author hopes to provide services to the public and to effectively share educational resources of minority costumes. Research content of this thesis is as follows:(1)In response to the requirements of founding minority costumes’ educational resources and based on field research of many museums and ethic villages, this thesis made standard construction of minority costumes’ educational resources collection, and specified data attribute of costumes’ image collection and corresponding annotations.(2)This thesis adopted B/S system and Java EE(Struts2+Spring+Hibernate)system architecture to detailed design and complete educational resources of minority costumes. The choose of dynamical structural database solved the costumes’ annotation problems as numerous, complex and unique costume annotations and also the situation that annotation may change among the process of costume research, which was a foundation of net-work sharing in minority costumes’ educational resources.(3)The research content of this thesis was based on the project “Construction of costumes database and element library for Yunnan minority with the research of intelligent retrieval technology” from National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) which was the first design and development of minority costumes’ ontological database. In order to provide support of follow-up studies to the fund project, and annotations in upper construction of minority costumes’ ontological database beyond the construction of educational resources’ database of minority costumes, this thesis used the seven-step method of domain-ontology development and chose costumes domain-ontology as basic class to conduct the research.
