Since the 1980 s, the related research on teachers’ professional development has become a hot issue in the research of scholars at home and abroad, emerged a large number of research results, and it has become a specialized research field as well. In the 21 st century, continues to accelerate the pace of basic education reform in China, the topic about teachers’ professional development has also been paid close attention.In recent years, administrative departments and other organizations gradually began to realize that you want to improve the teaching quality of a school, we must improve teachers’ professional quality and professional growth firstly. Education reform is always with the quality of the teachers closely contact together, especially for the middle school English education environment, if there are not a sufficient number of qualified teachers as human culture, and then a great education reform is destined to fail. S city a junior middle school, in which the author teaches English, I found most of the teachers there don’t have too much desire for professional development and personal growth, the professional development of teachers is also a lack of some environment and policy, I think for two specific schools to discuss what way diameter and methods to promote teachers’ professional development. A good sense of professional identity can promote teachers to constantly self-improvement and self-development, to take a positive attitude to face their own work, to solve the various difficulties and pressures of work, so as to raise the level of education and teaching. Secondly, I would like to know in a middle school, a teacher in-service period, the school can adopt what kind of way to promote the professional development of teachers of various disciplines, these pathways can not be achieved, will not be effective. I would like to know, understand, and to find out.I would like to do a research on the status quo of professional identity and its influencing factors and find out the four questions: What is the teachers’ professional identity and professional development ?How to judge the level of a level of the teacher’s professional development? What is the role of professional identity in the professional development of teachers? What factors affect teachers’ professional identity? I also want to understand our school. What is the status quo of English teachers’ professional identity? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the factors that influence the professional development of teachers? I want obtain the in-depth understanding of school, discovering a problem, and put forward some countermeasures. Teacher professional development to improve the quality of education has an important influence, in the teacher professional development process, this research focuses on is how to enhance the emotion and attitude of the teachers.Therefore, according to the results of investigation and interview, the author discusses how to realize the professional identity of English teachers in junior middle school and puts forward some practical suggestions. First of all, to strengthen the creation of the environment, improve teachers’ social status and economic benefits, schools should promote the creation of the spiritual and material culture of the professional identity of teachers; secondly, governments and the education departments at all levels should provide funding, policy support. And strict secondary school teachers into the job off, pay attention to the structure of teachers. Schools should create spiritual culture and material culture to promote teachers’ professional development; Finally, to reform and improve the school management system, the construction of the characteristics of the teacher training model. Through the interaction of internal and external factors to promote the professional development of English teachers in junior middle school. Through explorations of two ordinary middle schools as a subject, the promotion of teacher’s professional quality of practice, for other subject teachers to enhance professional quality, and to improve the teaching level for reference.
