With the democratization of society, it’s a development tendency of world to cultivate elite who can fit in the need of society changes and culture communication,and deal with relationship and cooperation. Alignment and formation practice, which is an important tool and a basic support for sports education, is regarded as a bond with every sports teaching parts for the class success. Traditional mode of gymnastics teaching,which is result orienting, ignore cooperation so the teaching becomes a process students learning and reviewing passively. The traditional mode ignores individual variation and restricts subjective initiative of students, that makes class boring even though it’s good for the teachers.According to the trait of professional sports teaching in universities, this paper mainly analyzes conception and theory of cooperative teaching with literature method,experimental method, interviewing method, investigation method, mathematical statistic method, comparison analysis and logical analysis, by selecting sports specialized students of Yunnan Normal University for research, putting cooperative teaching mode into part of alignment and formation gymnastics teaching of physical majors and studying research actualities.Practicing testified feasibility and advantage of cooperative teaching mode using in university gymnastics lesson for traditional teaching mode. The writer did mathematical and logical analysis on result and problems during teaching experiment by practice borrowing, to get advantages and disadvantages of cooperative teaching mode. Here are there advantages following:(1) It’s more benefit than traditional mode for alignment and formation skills knowing, teaching goals achieving and grade improving;(2) It’s benefit for mutual assistance between teachers and students,students, and teachers, and every students get same chance to take part in;(3) It’s also benefit for considering students’ individual variation, which gives every single student a chance to learn. However, the experimental mode is difficult for teaching process achievement because physical majors are so competitive that group formed; itmight leads chaotic classroom for frequently interaction between students. For the teaching quality, teachers could order cooperative details, control the interaction between students appropriately.
