Grammar teaching plays a very important role in the process of English teaching,which affects the English level of students.Traditional English grammar teaching mode is based on teachers as the leading factor.It is difficult for students to put forward their own study targets and to pursuit dynamic mechanism.Grammar teaching focuses more on the teachers' side,which emphasizes teachers as the center and ignores students'subjective initiative and their study methods.It costs teachers and students a lot of time and energy,but the study effect is poor.As we know,it is not good for improving students' English level and learning ability.With the rapid development of social economy,both in teaching and in practice,the traditional English grammar teaching mode can't keep up with the pace of the times,especially in teaching and practicing.Thus it cannot play its proper role.The new curriculum idea makes English grammar teaching make innovations in the essence of traditional grammar teaching and outstanding breakthroughs and innovation.It should be based on a new type of English grammar teaching methods as the breakthrough point to improve students' ability of language.In this paper,based on the framework of communicative teaching method in high school English grammar teaching,we carried on some experiments and put forward the application of CLT to"Guiding-Teaching-Learning-Practicing" teaching model in High School English grammar teaching.In grammar teaching,the teachers needn't do a lot of mechanical work to emphasize in the classroom.But according to the characteristics of students and grammar learning environment,the teachers should blend the grammar training to the specific situation,which stimulates students' interests and makes students happily and easily understand and master the boring English grammar knowledge in the classroom.What's more,students also are able to use them into the actual life and complete the course goal of English learning.In this paper,the research objects of this test are the students in grade 2012 of class 1208 and 1209 in the No.1 Middle School in Yang Quan,50 people per class.Two classes are both experimental classes.This experiment was carried out in the first semester in 2013,that is,from January to July in 2013.Before the experiment,the author tested the English level of two classes.After that,class 1208 uses the traditional teaching mode,while class 1209 adopt communicative teaching under the application of"guiding-teaching-learning-practicing" teaching mode.Then through the form of questionnaire and interview,the author will find there are many problems among students in grammar learning.Then the teacher targetes to solve these problems in class 1209.The experimental results show that under the application of communicative teaching method of "guiding-teaching-learning-practicing" grammar teaching promotes students' learning initiative,and cultivate students' autonomous learning ability,which can really make students autonomous learning,enjoy learning and use English grammar.
