Experimental Research on Learning Chinese Charactersof Young Deaf and Hearing ChildrenPsychological differences in beginning approach to writing Chinese characters of deaf and hearing students were compared. Totally deaf signing children may attempt to draw on relationship between sign and word meaning in learning Chinese characters; Result also showed there was a bias towards representing graphic and semantic components in learning Chinese characters for totally deaf children. Moreover ,totally deaf also extract principles of visuospatial and word of formation from sign language.
