With the arrival of the knowledge economy and the globalization, the education reforms everywhere in the world are accelerating constantly. Research-styled study is becoming a worldwide theme, at the same time is becoming a spotlight in our country's reform in primary education. Based on the acknowledgment of the urgency hi educational informationalization, this research tries to introduce Internet into the research-styled study, with the network and the multi-media technology to create a learner-centered and research-styled studying environment with both ideology and practice, and to provide conditions for the students' free exploration.The paper first introduces some state of affairs of network-used research-styled study in the US, France, Japan and other countries as well as in Hongkong SAR, China. It analyzes the network's function in the research-styled study, and compares it with our country's research-styled study. Thereby, it raises the question for discussion - network-based research-styled study, and clearly expresses its definition, basic characters, influence on the reforms in the teaching field, and limitations. Guided by the modern theory of teaching and learning, based on the goal of leading the students to recognize things from various angles, training them to comprehensively and objectively understand the real world and form the science concept and the scientific values, it fairly specifically discusses the network-based research-styled study designing strategy in the primary "Modern Technology" education. On the background of STS education concept, and based on "the Scientific Curricula Standard", it raises the strategy to fix and select the theme of the research, the strategy to guide the activities, the strategy to design the informationalized study resources, the strategy to evaluate and the strategy to improve the teachers' accomplishment. Finally, with the above strategies, it designs a practical teaching case.
