Sports industry is a new and developing industry with great prospect. Its development undoutedly will promote the development of its related industries, thus the national ecomomy. Bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry is a major form of sports industry, and its development is bound to push forward not only economical development, but also the bodybuilding activities of the whole people, which contribute to the development of ethical and cultural progress of our China.In the tenth five-year plan, Hangzhou has put forward a slogan: a economic flourishing city with famous culture and international sighseeing, which is colsed with the development of its bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry. Especially, at the time of sports industry is definitely included in the development of Hangazhou's cultural industry, in turn whoes development offers a great opportunity to develop sports industry, especially to the bodybuilding and soprts entertainment industry. However the soprts industry in Hangzhou is in want of a relatively objective assessment system, due to the lack of a unified standardized statistical quota. Now China has entered WTO. Hangzhou is facing new challenges from home and abroad. Investment from home and abroad will change market setup, which urges Hangzhou to definite its macrodevelopment of bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry.This dissertation is based on the investigations of Hangzhou's bodybuilding and sports entertainment business, on the analysis of consumer consciousness and behavior as well as the evaluation of present services. The author tries to find out the features of supply and demand market structure of the bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry. The features include:1. Investment in bodybuilding and sports entertainment business in Hangzhou mainly relys on the local, and more efforts should be taken to encourage more domestic and foreign investment.2. At present the seperate and the attached business arethe two forms existing in bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry, respectivelly 50%.3. The present form of operation in the bodybuilding and sports entertainment business lacks diversity, and the quality of services should be improved higher.4. Great potentiality exists in places of bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry. The average per occupation is quite lower, though the distribution of these places conforms with city development planning.5. Markert management requires to be improved, and an instructive investment is in urgent need.6. Market in bodybuilding and sports entertainment business lacks the support policies when at its first stage. Larger places of bodybuilding and sports entertainment is surviving with great hardship.7. New forms of sports consumer has great difficulty in finding its way, though the urban residents are in higher sports consciousness on account of the influence of traditional consumer behavior.8. The author finds out that personal interest attractivenes s -, atmospheres quality of serviceSs incomes leisure time are the major factors that affect urban resident's participating in sports activities.Finally the author put forward macrodevelopment strategies for Hangzhou's bodybuilding and sports entertainment industry after WTO entering China as follows:1. Perfecing rules and regulations of bodybuilding and sports entertainment business market.2. Changing government functions.3. Strengthening the trainning of professional talents. 4 . Reinforcing the reform of economic structures.5. Combining the development of sports and culture with travelling.6.Spreading the idea of sports lifestyle.
