While investigating the students' distance learning at networked education institute, I found they obtained knowledge mainly by living broadcast course. The Asynchronous Learning is also based on living broadcast course, just putting the traditional classes into net. The difference is only the time and the places. During Asynchronous Learning, the learner, instructor, learning resource, learning process, learning style will change with change of learning environments. So does the relationship between the elements. Thereafter, the system structure and the relevant learning theory will change and should be adjusted. Then the most important for us is to explore new learning mode for more effective operation.The aim of this research is to seek after all the main points and the relations among the process structure, which works in online course for college students when they are performing Asynchronous Learning by project-based learning methods. And this research is also to explore how to build up new learning mode based on the Asynchronous Learning practice directed by my online course Online Education.The research means are mainly the following: literature research, content analysis, ISM(Interpretive Structure Model, questionnaire, visit and talk, and also the action research which combined all the above research methodsThe three circular action researches are the following:Firstly, the main clue of this research is to put the experience and theory summarized from the course book of Learning Theories and Practices with the Advent of the Information Age by Professor Sang Xinmin and his teaching reforms into my own course practice, and also to observe and think over all the elements and steps of the learning mode in practice. The main work is to design and choose the course content of Online Education; to design project research program which is correlative to the course content; to analyse the course structure by the means of ISM; to develop net course; to induct the students to carry on project research and study; guide and give assessments on net for the study of students. Through that observation and rethinking, I clear up the project-based learning operating process. Decide from the questionnaire investigation, the web project-based Asynchronous learning is admissive among the students.Secondly, the main clue of this research is to practice project-based learning again into the students' learning activities, then to adjust some elements and steps,later to observe and think them over. The main work is the following: to design the online-guided handbook for project-based learing; to let students carry on project research and study; to guide students to learn online; to accept whenever the opinions for the experts, research assistants, and students on project-based asynchronous learning. Analysed from the evaluation list, most of them take admissive attitude on this learning mode.Thirdly, this research has transferred to micro degree, and attached importance to the exploration of all kinds of skills training in project- based learning, such as collaborative learning skill, self-regulated learning and rethinking skill, self assessment skill. Through investigation, the students are more collaborative in project-based learning. By visiting and talk with the students, we found the Project-Based Learning Tool can brings great benefit their project research. Compared the students' self-assessment with the teachers', we found the students' recognitions on their own study are more felicitous.The innovative points of this research are the following: put project- based learning method into the practice of web project-based Asynchronous learning; put forward project-based asynchronous learning mode in web course; design project-based learning and rethinking tools; combine personal construction of cognition with construction of socioculture and advance the combination mode used to guide project-based asynchronous learning.
