Since the middle of 20th century, people have come to realize that the irrational usage of natural resources and the serious damage of the environment would endanger the human's development and even survival under the misleading idea that "people can conquer nature" and can obtain as much benefits as we can. This crisis launches the study of the environmental actuality in the western countries and soon the Environmental Education becomes fashionable all over the world. As an ideological reflection on our exiting actuality, morality also shows solicitude for this field, thus Environmental Ethic emerges.With the development of Environmental Education and with the purpose of civilizing people, Regular Education is adjusting the original theory and teaching methods in order to satisfy the requirement of the society. Nevertheless, the present Environment Education in regular schools lays great stress on knowledge and ignores the systematically research in the Moral theory and practice of Environment Education, especially to the middle schools which facing the pressure of entrance examination to higher schools. So for the improvement of our schools' Environmental Education on ethic level, this article shows us the actuality of Environmental Education in the middle schools based on the observation and research of the middle school education.This article includes three parts. The first part introduces thesignificance of Environmental Education on middle school level which counts for much on the diathesis of the next generation to match the requirement of the society, and also presents that as a part of the international Environmental Education, our educational contents and methods must be synchronous with it.The second part reflects the problem and strait existing in the present Environmental Education in middle schools due to imbalance recognition between knowledge and practice. This part provides bases for the settlement of the problem.The third part offers suggestions to improve the present Environmental Education on middle school level based on the reason mentioned in the second part. One is to reconsider the relationship between knowledge and practice; the other is to supply students with chances to acquaint themselves with society in order to make use of it and contribute to it. Furthermore, in order to prove the thesis, the article recommends many vivid and convincing examples which offer instruction and reference for the research of the Environmental Education on middle school level.
