Teacher's professional education can be divided into three stages, i.e. advanced normal educational, training before becoming a teacher and further education after taking the teacher position On account of history, China's teacher's training work started comparatively late. And scientific and systematic teacher's training didn't carry out until the late 1980's. With the arising of the concept on all life education and learning society further education of teachers has become necessary. However, the teachers in primary and middle schools are lacking in activity and aren't satisfied with the quality of further education in general At present, further education of the teachers in primary and middle schools is undertaken by the normal colleges or the further education schools. Thus the main cause that the teachers in primary and middle school don't consider further education satisfactory is closely associated with the teaching quality of further education. Consequently on certain conditions the teaching quality is determined by the teaching level and self-development of the training teachers. If the training teachers can't improve their level, thus it's hardly possible to enhance the quality of further education. In a word, the problem on the development and improvement of the training teachers should be dealt with.The main body of this article is on the training teachers taking up the further education during which the research method of asking paper and conversation is adopted. At the same time the article raise and try to solve the following problems such as why, how and in what ways the training teachers should develop themselves. For that, in Part I , the connotation and characteristic on the self-development of the training teachers are analysed, the involved concepts are defined and the stage, and affected factors are also concerned with. And in Part II, the necessity of self-development of the training teachers is involved not only in terms of the investigation and conversation, to the teachers and headmasters in primary and middle schools, training teachers and experts, but also in terms of many aspects such as the influence of the learning society, the requirements of the basic education's reform and the need of the teachers' profession development. Besides the above, the possibility of self-development of the trainingteachers is also analysed on both the subjective side and objective side. On the basis of the previews two parts, the concrete contents on the self-development of the training teachers are raised. At the same time the advice and suggestion on how the training teachers develop themselves, is put forward in terms of the side of the government, schools and individual.
