Biology concepts, which are the focus and difficult points in Biology teaching, are an important part of biological knowledge. It's of great reality significance and using teaching of biology concepts by studying and using effective classroom teaching skills.The thesis consists of five parts. In the first part, a simple analysis is made about concepts and two forms of learning biology concepts-concepts forming and concepts assimilation, which are based on Ausubel's Assimilation Theory, the modern American cognitive psychologist. Finally, the basic requirements of biology concepts teaching in quality education are put forward. The second part generally discusses the definition of classroom teaching skills and principles and methods of classifying them, also the studies of classroom teaching skills at home and abroad. It is the basic teaching aims to help students learn better. Teaching and learning are two closely related aspects. Therefore the principles, strategies and basic procedures of biology concepts teaching are stated in the third part, which is based on the analysis of the position and function of biology concepts in biology knowledge. The most important part of the thesis lies in the forth and fifth ones. Based on theoretical study of some teaching skills during the course of biology concepts teaching, such as the skills of introduction, explaining, questioning, deducting and so on, these two parts deal with practices conducted in the teaching procedure of biology concepts. (There are individual cases of each teaching skills in the thesis.) The skills of introduction are used to improve the presentation of concepts. The skills of demonstration are used to provide examples. The skills of explaining are used to improve the analysis of concepts. The skills of blackboard writing are used to definite and generalize concepts. The skills of questioning are used to improve the consolidation and using of concepts.In order to test the effects of biology concepts teaching by using classroom teaching skills, a comparative research has been conducted in the thesis by using Quasi-experimental methods, and some achievements have been made.
