The development of a nation, by all means need a kind of source of booming vitality and a high spirit. The development of a school that heading up, inevitably need to have a positive spirit , upward culture, as well as the healthy school image. The school culture and the school image are not only a kind of management method, but also the soul of the school. For the theory and the value of the school that they initiated breed the disposition and the work style of the staff. They also effect their attitude of contribution to the school and the life.As the strategy of invigorating the country through science technology and education carries out, the step of the education reform has been quickened. Especially the foundation period of the education has showed the continuous changes and improvements more quickly. The central Committee of the Party calls to strengthen the development of the education. Every local government put goal of education into the Tenth Five-Year plan. All these outstand the strategy position of the development of the education and the human resource. The construction of schools in different places has obviously changed. Especially in the developed region or city. But among them the outward appearance of schools and the hardware for teaching change the most obvious. But as the large population and the difficulty of entering higher school and employment are still serious, during the process of deepening education reform, the school is very difficult to form its own education ideal and method or to develop the school truly and enrich students. Usually the school attaches importance to the teaching that centered on tests. Emphasize " quantity", overlook culture; emphasize on controlling, despise management; stress on traditions but ignore specialty and brand. Pay attention to the result but make light of team spirit, co-operation and the construction of the study organization. Thus the most school image presents are the same, and development of students and teachers are confined.Determination to teaching for more than ten years, the author always manages the administrative work, usually gets in touch with the government and education authorities, gets in touch with the students' parents, gets in touch with the community street, recognizes the cognition and evaluation to school image from the different crowds of people rather deep. The destination to work hard on the development of the school image always burns in chest.This text tries to study the school image in terms of theory and practice. The theories part lay emphasis on the meaning of constructing school image on the basis of knowing the concept of the school image. This part convincingly demonstrated the great importance of the development of the school image in the new era, with the respects of the school image and management, the school image and school special features and brand, the school image and school culture, the school image and team spirits. It elaborated that the development of the school image is beneficial to manage the school scientifically , reasonably and systematically and run a school with the managerial way, is conducive to create and set up the school brand and run a school with own specialty and fame, is conducive to create the cultural atmosphere, refine cultural connotation and run a school culturally , is conducive to melt the team, upgrade the spirit, construct the organization in the character of learning and run a school in a way of sustained development. Also, it stated thecontents and methods of the school image of development from the three aspects namely ideal construction, system construction, and the visual image construction. At the same time, author quoted many famous schools and the neighborly schools as examples to illustrate. The practice part was displayed in the form of case analysis .The case consisted of general case and the experimental school case. The three general school cases each have their own special image, displaying their unique image respectively with emphasis on their own...
