As the post-Modernism is in trend nowadays, the mind-oriented teaching method, known as a post-Moderaism one, draws great attention. This paper is intended to offer a study to this teaching method as well as its actual application. In order to make each learner become sensitive to the appeal of art, the application of a multiple teaching methodology is definitely necessary and more emphasis should be put on the artistic individuality of the learners with different learning ability. We can never give standard answers to the questions of art. It is only in the learning course of art that the learners could have the most possibilities to have the sense of participation as well as being accepted and never being abandoned. Since each single person with life would has different experience and intuition, they should communicate with each other and enrich each other's life experience in the course of art education which is guided in the spirit of humanism. In the contrary, the art education which makes learners compete with each other in skill and knowledge would drag them far way from the real art. Therefore, a different teaching ideology and methodology is inevitable in encouraging learners' creativity as well as originality and arousing their vitality. The essential aim of the mind-oriented teaching method is to cultivate intellectuals. And a true intellectual should be cultivated in personality.First of all, education's core concept is "mind".Second, the mind-oriented teaching method is an experimental one. The individual intuition is the most important element because it is the starting point of learning.Third, the course of learning is not a course of racing but rather a course of running.Last but not least, this method depends much on the application of the theory of explaining. The mind-oriented teaching method is essentially another kind of art. Its core idea is: "No one can actually own the truth, so each individual has the right to be understood.
