Teachers use transference theory with definition intentionally and plannedly to guide their teaching methods, which will help them underst and the teaching contents well and deal with them reasonably. Specifically speaking, with transference theory directing the function teaching, it will not only improve the efficiency of teaching and learning to help students learn the knowledge of using function and master the relative learning methods, but also help students be conscious of function grasp the methods of solving problems in the process of teaching. Furthermore, teachers can cultivate students' consciousness of learning to transfer by using theory to further help them master the methods of transferring and equip them with thoughts of the theory, which can reallyshow one of the basic goals of teaching--to teach students to know howto learn . The article, based on two designed specific examples of function teaching, introduces how to use theory to direct the planning and arrangement of the whole teaching, and analyses detailedly the effect and great significance of function theory in teaching. There is a questionnaire after the teaching experiment, and all the data have been processed with the use of SPSS10.0 .The results have been analysed and discussed both quantitatively and qualitatively. And on the basis of the experiment' s results, the positive discussion of function teaching has been proceeded, with some relative proposals provided.
