Trigonometric function is one of the basic elementary functions, a commonly used mathematical model. Students have learned a function, quadratic function, exponential function and logarithmic function, through which students can have a more systematic and complete comprehension when learning trigonometric function. And Trigonometric function is extensively practical, and has been playing an important role in mathematics and other fields. What's more, it is a good vehicle to cultivate students' comprehensive application ability.There are a lot of teaching researches on trigonometric functions home and abroad, but the research are mostly on the types of questions, methods, techniques, etc. However, how students can master this knowledge better is still under exploration. In this essay, the teaching standards for the trigonometric functions will be first studied to better grasp the requirements of the curriculum standards. And it can help teachers have a more clear understanding of the content and the teaching aims in this chapter, which is of great significance for making the teaching plans and designs.Then the arrangement of the knowledge and the content in mathematic books of the PEP A version and the Beijing Normal University version will be compared and analyzed and the study reveals that teachers should absorb the essence of different textbooks to make the class better.In the survey of the students" learning condition, the students are found to have great difficulties in understanding and applying the images and properties. The reasons of the difficulties are found through interviews. The reasons are listed below. The students have no passion for mathematic learning. And the foundation of learning has not been well paved. Furthermore, they cannot use the link between the knowledge points properly. Their understanding for the knowledge is not profound and their efficiency is relatively low.Based on the reasons above, teachers are proposed to combine the history of mathematics, Bloom's learning theory with class teaching, apply analogical method and multi-media teaching aids, formed variants and open-ended questions to mathematic teaching. The effective teaching strategies should be organically integrated into class teaching and complete teaching design should be formed and put into practice. The class teaching effects should also be tested to prove the scientificalness and effectiveness.The study can prove that the proper use of the effective teaching strategies can arouse students' interest for learning, strengthen students' understanding, promote students' comprehensive abilities of knowledge application and enhance the effectiveness of teaching. The study on teaching is endless. New problems will be found in incessant study to continually perfect the teaching strategies. As teachers on the front, they should insist on the study of teaching.
