As a new product of the new technologies application in education,MOOCs play an increasingly important role in the reform of higher education and the construction of learning society.However,with the popularization and application of MOOC,the following contradictions are becoming more and more prominent,the contradictions between the large scale of students' diverse learning needs and the limited teaching staff and learning support services in MOOC teaching.These contradictions and problems increasingly seriously restrict the sustainable development and positive role of MOOC.In Order to solve the above contradictions and problems,based on self-organization theory,social constructivism theory and other theories,drawing on the research results of online learning,group collaborative learning and so on,the research has preliminarily constructed the group collaborative learning mechanism of MOOC,which is composed of seven elements,eight learning activities and four operation stages.From September 2019 to June 2020,a quasi-experimental study was carried out in the two MOOC courses of "How People Learn" and "The Teaching Application of Mind Mapping".Through verification and reflection,the MOOC group collaborative learning mechanism was revised and improved.The Results of two rounds and four phases of teaching practice show that the MOOC group collaborative learning mechanism with eight learning activities and four operation phases,which is built around the three core elements of learners,learning groups and learning objectives and the four intermediary elements of division of labor,rules,tools and learning support services,can effectively meet the learner's learning support service needs.It can improve the quality of MOOC learning.The study finds that,with some guidance,it is effective for MOOC students to create their own groups;Encourage students to design activity themes oriented by practical difficulties,analyze and optimize learning activities from the perspective of consistency;In the process of group operation,the leader's leadership and organization ability,group conflict handling and role division are the important factors affecting the operation effect;Showing learning results in the course discussion area can increase the stickiness of the course,and communicating results through various social media can promote peer feedback and mutual evaluation.In conclusion,the MOOC group collaborative learning mechanism constructed can effectively meet the learning support needs of students in emotional,cognitive,behavioral and other aspects,the mechanism can improve the frequency and depth of learning interaction,it also can solve the contradiction between the diversified learning needs of large-scale students in MOOC teaching and the limitation of learning support services of course teaching team.The mechanism can improve the quality of MOOC teaching,promote the in-depth application of MOOC and the innovation of teaching mode.
