In the last decade of 20th century, the transformation of society provided a rare chance for higher education curriculum reform in Russia . Directed by the ideas of the integration of fundamentalization , humanalization and professionalization, the goal, structure and content of curriculum in Russian higher education has been changed deeply. By putting the reform in the context of social transformation and applying comparative method, historical analysis, document method and factors-analysis method, and from various perspectives of politics, economy, education and culture, etc., the thesis illustrates the present conditions and the process of curriculum reform in Russian universities, focusing on curriculum goal and content, and analyzes the differences among Russia, China and other European and American countries in order to provide reference for the curriculum reform in Chinese universities.The structure of the thesis is as follows:In Preface, the origin, status quo and methods of the research in the thesis and some related conceptions are explained.In Part I, the context of curriculum reform is analyzed from two aspects. One is the social transformation in Russia, the other is the international circumstances that Russia is facing .In Part II , the process of curriculum reform, namely, the historical foundations for the present curriculum reform, is tracedIn Part III, the present curriculum reform in Russia is probed into from the aspects of the general direction, approaches, goal and structure of the curriculum.In Part IV, a further analysis on the reform is made through casestudies of the curriculum goal and structure in some universities.In Part V, the features of the curriculum reform and their reasons are analyzed and concluded by historical and international comparisons.In Part VI, the problems of the curriculum reform in Chinese higher education are pondered on the basis of previous discussion.
