During the process of chemistry teaching in middle school,the evaluation doesn't agree with the demand ,"to develop the educational function in evaluation, to urge the development of the students", as what "outline for basic educational courses" presents. This prevents the function which is to stimulate the students' motivation from being developed completely.According to the demand made by the renovation in new courses, this thesis is to discuss which evaluation strategy should be used in chemistry teaching in middle school, and to stimulate the motivation of the students in study by feeding the result of the evaluation back to the students so as to search for an effective way of motivating the study of chemistry. While writing this thesis, the author referred to some reference books and a large amount of information .After a year 's experimental teaching and on the base of theoretical instruction and practical examination, the author presented some exact strategies, such as ,"to stimulate the students' motivation on achievement during the process of the practical performance ", "to remove the students' later-formed incapability during the process of evaluation and feedback", " to cultivate proper sense of proper self-effectiveness". The statement of the thesis is about the unity of the evaluation and motivation, and it will change the teachers' viewpoint on evaluation, make the teachers deepen the function on motivating middle school students' chemistry study during the practical chemistry teaching.
