In recent years, with the popularization of the Internet and the development of multimedia technologies, more and more researchers have begun to explore more effective methods of online learning. As an important factor influencing the learning effect, feedback has been paid attention by researchers. The combination of multimedia technology and feedback provides learners with a new type of learning that breaks the limitations of time and space in traditional classrooms.Computers can provide learners with timely, diversified, and individualized feedback to meet learners' needs. However, there are still controversies about the effectiveness of computer feedback.Because there are multiple classifications of feedback, the effects of different types of feedback on learning effects are inconsistent, and feedback effects are affected by many factors. It is necessary to rationally design feedback types in light of different situations.College students as the main force in multimedia network learning, what feedback methods have the best influence on their learning effects?Based on this, this study designed two experiments and discussed in depth the different feedback factors namely feedback complexity(simple feedback/complex feedback),feedback media(text feedback/text+sound feedback),agency(with agency/without agency)and pitch(bass high/original pitch/high pitch)Effects on learning effects.Study 1 mainly discusses the influence of feedback complexity and feedback media on learning outcomes. The second study, based on the first study, further explores the influence of agents and pitch factors on learning outcomes.Study 1 using 2(feedback complexity:simple feedback vs.complex feedback)×2(feedback media:text feedback vs text + audio feedback)Intersubject design to examine feedback on learning motivation, cognitive load, retention, and migration tests. The findings were:(1)Compared with simple feedback, complex feedback significantly improved the learner's learning motivation, related cognitive load and retention, migration test scores, and effectively reduced the learner's intrinsic and extrinsic cognitive load.(2)Compared with single text feedback, text + audio feedback effectively improves the learner's relevant cognitive load, retention, and migration test scores, and reduces the learner's intrinsic and extrinsic cognitive load.Study 2 used 2(with agency vs.no agency)× 3(bass high feedback vs.original pitch feedback vs.high pitch feedback)for intersubject experimental design, examining agent and pitch in computer feedback for learning motivation, positive emotions, and cognitive load, retention, and migration tests. The results showed that:(1)Compared with the agentless feedback group, the relevant cognitive load of the agent feedback group increased, and the learner's retention test score was significantly improved.(2)?:The influence of different pitch feedback on learning motivation was significant,in which the learning motivation of the high pitch feedback group and bass high feedback group was significantly higher than that of the original pitch feedback group;?The influence of different pitch feedback on cognitive load was significant, and the related cognitive load of high bass feedback group was significantly higher than that·of high pitch feedback group and original pitch feedback group;?Different pitch feedbacks have a significant impact on the migration test scores, the bass high and the original pitch group significantly higher than the high pitch group.(3)The interaction between agents and different pitch feedbacks on learning motivation, extrinsic cognitive load, and retention and migration tests was significant. There were significantly higher learning motivations, retention, and migration scores in agents with high pitched feedback than those without agent group. The external cognitive load of the high-pitch feedback group;agentless high-pitch feedback group was significantly higher than that of the agency high-pitch feedback group. Therefore, the results of this study indicate that feedback complexity, feedback media, agents, and different pitch audio feedback play an important role in the learning process and learning outcomes.
